Break and Enter Suspect Throws Beer Can at RNC and Challenges Them to Fight
Wednesday, January 7th just before 8pm, RNC were called to a break-in at a home in the east end of St. John’s. On the scene, police located a man who reportedly entered the home and assaulted the owner. As police approached the door, the suspect threw a beer can at officers and challenged them to fight. A brief struggle ensued and officers quickly gained control of the 45-year old man. He has been charged with break and enter, assault against the homeowner, assault with a weapon against police, property damage, resisting arrest, and breaching court orders. He was held to appear in court this morning.
