Bay St. George RCMP stops excessive speeder in Felix Cove construction zone
A motorist had his vehicle seized and licence suspended roadside this morning after he was stopped by Bay St. George RCMP for excessive speeding in a construction zone on the Port au Port Peninsula.
Shortly after 7:30 a.m. on June 30, an officer with Bay St. George RCMP observed a vehicle travelling at speeds up to 109 km/hr in a 50 km/hr construction zone on the Main Road in Port au Port West-Aguathuna-Felix Cove.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was ticketed for speeding in a construction zone. His licence was suspended, and his vehicle was impounded by police.
