Justice, News

Bay St. George RCMP is investigating the overnight theft of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) from Barachois Brook this week, and seeking the public’s assistance to identify the person responsible and locate the stolen property. On Aug. 6, police responded to a report of an ATV stolen from a residence on the main road of Barachois Brook. It is believed the theft occurred between August 5 at 10:00 p.m. and Aug. 6 at 4:00 a.m.

The ATV is a black and grey 2025 Yamaha Grizzly XTR 700, Newfoundland and Labrador licence plate number VJW 768.

Police advise that the ATV has been modified since the photos were taken. Modifications include multiple yellow caution stickers, and a 100-watt horn attached to the front rack.

Bay St. George RCMP is asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, anyone with information about the location of the ATV or anyone with information about the suspect to contact police. Residents or businesses with surveillance video or images from the area main road in Barachois Brook around the time of the theft are asked to contact the detachment as soon as possible at 709-643-2118.
