Association of Seafood Producers appoints new executive director
The Association of Seafood Producers has announced the appointment of a new executive director who will join their team at the end of this month.

In a press release, the association announced that Lorelei Roberts will be its new executive director, effective January, 30, 2026. Roberts brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in public sector governance, regulatory oversight, and policy development, with deep, direct expertise in fisheries and aquaculture in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Since 2020, she has served at the Assistant Deputy Minister level with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, including as Assistant Deputy Minister of Fisheries and Aquaculture, where she was responsible for regulatory management, compliance and enforcement, market development, and modernization initiatives across the harvesting, processing, and aquaculture sectors.
Throughout her career, Roberts has worked closely with industry, Indigenous governments, and federal and provincial partners to advance sustainable growth, strengthen regulatory frameworks, and support innovation and competitiveness within the seafood sector.
