7th annual Wheels for Wishes car show takes place in support of Candlelighters
Hundreds of automotive enthusiasts and families gathered in St. John’s on Saturday for the 7th Annual Wheels for Wishes Car Show, an event that combined a passion for vehicles with a commitment to supporting children and families facing childhood cancer.
The show featured something for everyone, with an impressive display of classic cars, local vendors and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
One of the biggest attractions was Rex, the canine star from Citytv’s Hudson & Rex. Dozens of excited fans lined up throughout the event for the chance to meet the famous television pup and snap a photo.
Wheels for Wishes is a 100% volunteer-run charity event. Every dollar raised goes directly to its chosen charity partner. This year, organizers once again partnered with Candlelighters, a Newfoundland and Labrador organization that supports children diagnosed with childhood cancer and their families.
Funds raised through this year’s event will help Candlelighters continue providing financial assistance, family support programs, and resources for children and families navigating the challenges of childhood cancer across the province.
