18-year-old arrested for impaired operation
While conducting routine patrol duties near Torbay Road early this morning, RNC officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was exceeding the posted speed limit.
Through the course of their investigation, police determined that the 18-year-old female driver was impaired.
She was charged with impaired driving and operating over .80 mg %. Her vehicle was seized, and the accused was released to appear in court at a later date.
