The first of five new snowplows have arrived in the province. The trucks are part of the 64 trucks that are due to arrive this winter.
These new trucks will replace units that have been taken out of service and aging trucks that are scheduled to be replaced.
In the last provincial budget, the government allocated an additional $25 million to purchase equipment for road maintenance operations.
