Around noon on Sunday, the RNC responded to a residence in the west end of St John’s to a report of a domestic disturbance in progress.

Police spoke to the complainant and arrested and charged a 59-year-old male with assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and breach of a release order.

The accused will appear in court this morning.
