At approximately 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, the RNC received numerous calls of a male assaulting a female in the center city area of St. John’s.

Officers responded to the scene and located an injured female in the area and after a short time, officers located the man who was responsible.

He was arrested for assault and breaching court order. The accused will appear in court this morning.
