On Tuesday afternoon the RNC was called to a disorderly conduct call for service at a residence in the west end of St. John’s.

During the encounter with the 36-year-old male at the residence, he pointed a firearm at police.

As a result, he was charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and other related offences.

He was held for court.
