A 36-year-old man was arrested after RNC officers observed the man running from the emergency exit of a business while carrying a large pile of clothing and being pursued by security in the west end of St. John’s.

Officers approached and arrested the man.

He was charged with theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by crime and breach of a release order.

The accused was held to appear in court this morning.
