RCMP investigating fatal motorcycle crash
Rocky Harbour RCMP are investigating a motorcycle crash on Route 430 Tuesday that resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man.
Around 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Route 430 south of Rocky Harbour. Members of the Rocky Harbour and Norris Point Fire Departments and emergency medical services personnel also responded to the scene. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A Collision Reconstructionist with RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene to assist with the investigation, and Route 430 was partially closed overnight while officers examined the scene. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) has also been engaged.
The investigation is continuing.
