Burin Peninsula RCMP investigating break and enter, seeking public’s assistance
Burin Peninsula RCMP are investigating a break, enter and theft at a Marystown convenience store, and are asking the public for information and surveillance footage to help identify the person or people responsible.
On Friday, June 26, shortly after 3:30 a.m., police in Marystown responded to a commercial alarm at a convenience store on Greenwood Street. Officers determined that at least one person had accessed the building, and attempted to access the safe, before gathering cigarettes and fleeing the scene.
Surveillance cameras in the store captured one suspect. Still images from the cameras are attached.
Anyone with information about this crime, or anyone with surveillance footage in the area of Greenwood Street from June 26, 2026 between 2:30 and 4:00 a.m, are asked to contact Burin Peninsula RCMP at 709-279-3001.
