Bonavista RCMP seizes vehicle from driver travelling 60+ km/hr over the limit
Police seized a vehicle from a driver caught travelling more than 60 km/hr over the posted speed limit near Little Catalina on Saturday night.
On June 6 around 10:45 p.m., an officer patrolling Route 230 observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed near Little Catalina. Radar confirmed a speed of 144 km/hr in am 80 km/hr zone.
A traffic stop was initiated and the driver, a 34-year-old woman, was ticketed and her licence was suspended. Police also seized and impounded the vehicle she was driving.
