Inflation went up slightly in May. The rate went from 2.7 per cent to 2.9 per cent.
Statistics Canada said the increase was due to higher prices for services. Faster price growth for services was led by cellular services, travel tours, rent and air transportation.
Prices for food purchased from stores increased by 1.5 per cent in May.
