Inflation drops again, food prices remain elevated

In November the rate of inflation was down to 1.9 percent. That’s down slightly from 2.0 percent in October.

Most of the deceleration was due to travel tours and the mortgage interest cost.

Prices for food purchased from stores rose 2.6 percent, down slightly from 2.7 percent in October. Despite the slowdown, grocery prices have remained elevated.
