Two people were taken into custody Saturday after a standoff on Feild Street in St. John’s.

Police had asked residents on the street to shelter in place. They said the situation was contained to a residenc, and there were significant resources on scene for the investigation.

But the RNC now says the situation has been resolved and the public can move about the area again. Police will maintain a presence as the investigation continues.
