Team Gushue’s quest for a fourth consecutive Brier title and seventh overall fell short Sunday after they lost in the semifinal.

Playing as Team Canada, the Gushue rink lost 7-5 to Brad Jacob’s Alberta rink. It ends a remarkable run for Team Gushue after winning the last three Briers in a row. But the team will aim to return to the top of the podium on home ice next year when the 2026 Brier is played in St. John’s.

Team Jacobs will now face Manitoba’s Team Dunstone in the Brier final Sunday night.
