A police officer in Corner Brook has been charged with careless use of a firearm. The province’s Serious Incident Response Team (SIRT) announced the charge today. RCMP constable Marc Payne was charged in connection with an incident that happened on May 15, 2022, while he was off duty. The matter will now proceed through the courts.
