It was the closest race in the country, and now it has flipped from red to blue.

Conservative MP-elect Jonathan Rowe won the recount in Terra Nova-The Peninsulas by 12 votes over Liberal Anthony Germain. The finally tally from elections Canada has 19,605 votes for the Conservatives, and 19,593 votes for the Liberals.

Germain had initially won the district by 12 votes, but the narrow margin triggered an automatic judicial recount.

The change now drops the governing Liberals to 169 seats, three short of a majority.
