A resident at the Clarenville Retirement Centre celebrated a special 104th birthday earlier this month, and cake and balloons certainly wasn’t all she received.

Back in January, staff and management at the Clarenville Retirement Centre posted on Facebook that Louise Pelley would be turning 104 years old on February 1st, and her birthday wish was for good health, and 104 birthday cards.

Now, even with cards still coming in, Mrs. Pelley has received 1,358 birthday cards to mark the special occasion. Staff took to Facebook to say everyones kindness has been truly appreciated, and thanked the public for making her birthday wish come true.
