Inuit and Innu To Stand United Against False Claims of Indigenous Identity
Today the Innu Nation, the Nunatsiavut Government and Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami will voice concerns about the threat of non-Indigenous groups who wrongly seek to adopt Indigenous identities for themselves. This week the Innu Nation is challenging a memorandum of understanding signed between the federal government and the NunatuKavut Community Council NCC in 2019 in court.
