Rhonda Neary named one of Atlantic Canada’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Business in 2026
The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association’s President and Chief Operating Officer, Rhonda Neary has been named one of Atlantic Canada’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Business in 2026 by Atlantic Business Magazine.
Neary was recognized alongside award recipients from across the region at the awards gala held March 5 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The annual program honors women that are changemakers and whose power extends beyond the context of their jobs to influence their industry and the broader community. Neary’s selection reflects more than two decades of leadership advancing Newfoundland and Labrador’s construction sector through strategic advocacy, workforce development initiatives, and strong partnerships with government and industry.
Under Neary’s leadership, NLCA has strengthened its financial stability, expanded membership, and modernized programs and services that support contractors, suppliers, and industry partners across the province. She is also the founder of NLCA’s Women in Construction initiative, which focuses on mentorship, leadership development, and supporting greater participation of women in the construction industry.
“This recognition reflects Rhonda’s exceptional leadership and her dedication to strengthening both the construction industry and the people within it,” said Valerie Penney, Chair of NLCA. “Her commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and supporting industry priorities continues to make a lasting impact across our province and beyond.”
