Public invited to participate in Independent Review of Churchill River Agreement
The Independent Churchill River Review Committee has launched a new website to support public engagement in its independent assessment of the Memorandum of Understanding with Hydro-Québec and to evaluate whether the agreement is in the province’s best long-term interests.
The website provides an opportunity for residents across the province to have their voices heard in discussions related to the assessment of the Memorandum of Understanding with Hydro-Québec.
To help inform its review, the Independent Review Committee is seeking public input.
Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are invited to make submissions for the committee’s consideration through the dedicated Public Participation section of the website.
Submissions must be received by Saturday, March 1. Shorter submissions, limited to 200 words, may be submitted through an online form available here, while longer submissions should be submitted by email to submissions@churchillriverreview.ca.

“This review is strengthened by hearing from the people of Newfoundland and Labrador,” said Chris Huskilson, Chair of the Independent Churchill River Review Committee. “I encourage everyone to share their thoughts, so their perspectives can help inform our independent assessment of the Memorandum of Understanding.”
