Passport fees to increase March 31
It will soon cost a little more to renew your passport, as most passport and travel document fees will be going up on March 31.
The fees for five and 10-year passports will be increasing by a few dollars, bringing the cost for a new 10-year adult passport to $163.50, and $122.50 for a five-year adult passport. Meanwhile, there’s a bigger jump for urgent pickup and temporary passport fees by just over $15, and an almost $50 dollar increase is coming to weekend and statutory holiday service fees.
In person fees will change at the end of March, but Service Canada warns that if you mail your application and there is a delay between when you send it and when it is received, fees may change while the application is in transit.
