Canadian counter-tariffs against U.S. set to take effect as labour movement braces for economic impacts
Canada’s counter-tariffs are set to take effect at midnight. They’re in response to 50 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods announced by the Trump administration. Unifor’s national president Lana Payne says the tariff war makes this unlike any Labour Day in past years.
