François Legault resigning as premier of Quebec
Quebec Premier Francois Legault announced he’ll step down as leader of the province after eight years.
In his remarks Legault mentioned the Churchill Falls MOU signed with Newfoundland and Labrador. He says he hopes in the coming months a win-win deal can still be completed.
Legault visited Newfoundland and Labrador on multiple occasions, primarily to negotiate the Churchill Falls Memorandum of Understanding.
