Province announces over $3.1 million to support arts and heritage across Newfoundland and Labrador
The province announced more than $3.1 million in funding for organizations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador through the Cultural Economic Development Program.
Over 100 organizations have received funding through this initiative to date, reflecting the important role arts, culture and heritage play in communities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. This support helps strengthen communities, create opportunities for artists, musicians and heritage organizations, and enhance the cultural experiences available to residents and visitors alike.
The funded organizations will contribute to a diverse range of activities taking place across the province in the coming months, including festivals, concerts, theatrical productions, art exhibitions, dance performances, heritage and ancestry initiatives, community celebrations, family-friendly events and other cultural programming. These projects help foster community pride, encourage participation in local culture, and contribute to vibrant, connected and safe communities across Newfoundland and Labrador.
