Bay St. George RCMP tickets uninsured driver after hit and run collision
St. Anthony RCMP arrested a 43-year-old man after responding to a disturbance at a local hotel Thursday morning.
At approximately 9:40 a.m. on August 20, police were called to a hotel in St. Anthony where a patron was causing a disturbance. The man was a guest of the hotel and pulled the facility’s fire alarm during an argument with staff.
When officers arrived, the man failed to comply with police commands. He was taken into custody following a brief foot chase and transported to the St. Anthony RCMP detachment.
He was later released on strict police-imposed conditions, and is expected appear in provincial court on November 24, 2026, to answer to Criminal Code charges of resisting arrest and pulling a false fire alarm.
The investigation is ongoing.
