Bonavista RCMP arrest man in connection to assault
A 32-year-old man was arrested by Bonavista RCMP on Monday, in relation to an assault.
At approximately 9:00 a.m. on August 17, Bonavista RCMP received a report of an assault. The victim, an elderly man, reported that a confrontation occurred at his residence and he was physically assaulted by a person known to him.
Police located and arrested the suspect in relation to the assault. The 32-year-old Bonavista man was later released from custody on strict police-imposed conditions. He is expected to make his first appearance in court in December 2026.
The investigation continues.
