Harbour Grace RCMP responds to disturbance call in Carbonear, man charged with uttering threats
Harbour Grace RCMP is investigating after responding to a disturbance in progress in downtown Carbonear late Friday night. A 42-year-old man was later arrested and faces criminal charges.
Just before 12:00 a.m. (midnight) on August 14, police responded to reports of a disturbance along Bannerman Street in Carbonear. Police were told that the suspect was also seen in possession of a knife.
Police arrived in the area and conducted extensive patrols however were unable to locate the suspect. The described individual was later located and arrested without incident.
Adam Legrow, 42, was transported to the Harbour Grace RCMP detachment and held in custody to appear before the courts. He faces charges under the Criminal Code including two counts for uttering threats and one count of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
The investigation continues.
