Be advised that the 37 Signal Regiment run Basic Military Qualification (BMQ) to conduct Ruck Marches in St. John’s area on July 27, August 4 and August 7.
Residents in the Quidi Vidi Lake and Pleasantville areas, as well as on roads surrounding Canadian Forces Station St. John’s may observe Canadian Armed Forces members carrying military equipment and service rifles as part of normal training activities on July 27 and August 4. Additional training will take place on August 7, 2026, involving a troop movement between Cambrai Rifle Range and Emerald Vale Training Area. Training will primarily occur during the morning hours, with the August 7 activity taking place in the afternoon.
No ammunition or pyrotechnics will be used during this training. Safety vehicles will accompany personnel where required, and no road closures or disruptions to normal public activities are anticipated.
These activities form part of Basic Military Qualification training and are designed to develop the endurance, fieldcraft, and military skills required of Canadian Army Reserve soldiers. 37 Canadian Brigade Group appreciates the continued support of local communities as reservists train to support Canadians at home and abroad.
