Youth flees from police and ends up with multiple charges
A 16-year-old male driver is facing a slew of charges today after he fled from police at a high rate of speed late Thursday evening (July 16).
RNC officers were called to the area of Smithville Crescent around 9:30 p.m., to a report of a suspicious vehicle.
Police spoke to the complainant who advised that her ex-boyfriend was following her. Officers located the male’s vehicle in the area and attempted to stop it, however, it fled from police.
Officers later located and arrested the 16-year-old male driver. He was charged with breach of undetaking, uttering threats, dangerous operation of a vehicle, and flight from police. He was held to appear in court today.
