Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP respond to collision, tickets driver for operating without valid licence
Police ticketed a 48-year-old woman Friday morning after responding to a collision and discovering the driver had been operating a vehicle without a valid driver’s licence. Just before 8:00 a.m. on July 10, officers received a report of a two-vehicle collision near the ferry terminal. Police attended the scene and confirmed that one of the driver’s involved did not possess a valid licence. The 48-year-old Alberta woman was ticketed under the province’s Highway Traffic Act for operating a vehicle with an expired licence.
No injuries were reported to police as a result of the collision.
