She shoots, she scores: NLSA launches BMO Girls Play NL! events
The Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Association (NLSA) is launching the 2026 BMO Girls Play NL! events, a free program designed to create opportunities for girls to participate in soccer through both coaching and playing experiences.
BMO Girls Play NL! is a one-day event featuring two distinct streams:
Coaching Stream (U16-U17)
Participants complete the on-field portion of the FUNdamentals Coaching Certification and gain
valuable leadership and coaching experience.
Playing Stream (U7-U8)
Participants take part in a fun 3v3 soccer festival led by the newly certified coaches.
Events will be hosted throughout the province this summer:
- June 27 – Conception Bay South
- July 4 – Mount Pearl at Sandpitch Field 46 Ruth Avenue Mount Pearl
- July 12 – Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s
- August 9 – Gander
- August 22 – Paradise
Participation is free, and girls do not need to be registered members of a soccer club to attend.
