Unifor says there will be no labour disruption at Marine Atlantic; discussions resume July 27th
There will be no labour disruption at Marine Atlantic. That was the word today from Unifor. In a statement on its website, the union said the collective bargaining impasse with Marine Atlantic has been successfully resolved with the help of a special mediator.
Unifor said by keeping the interests of the workers, travellers and communities at the forefront, they were able to reach agreement on key issues.
The two sides will continue working with the special mediator when discussions resume on July 27th, but as a result of the progress, they say there will be no labour disruption.
