Emerillon Lake South wildfire in Labrador listed as ‘out of control’
The Emerillon Lake South wildfire in Labrador is currently burning out of control, according to the provincial wildfire operations dashboard.
The wildfire reportedly ignited on June 23rd, and has burned about 10 hectares. The community closed to the wildfire is Rose Bay Junction, about 21.7 km away
So far this season there have been 60 wildfires, which is down 56% from 136 at this point last year.
