News, Sports

The Newfoundland Regiment are one win away from moving on to the next round of the QMJHL playoffs after beating the Cape Breton Eagles 5-1 last night. Forward Ryan Dwyer scored twice, including the game winner, and in the locker room was given the team’s ceremonial helmet for player of the game. After losing the opening game of the playoffs, the Regiment have come together to put together three consecutive wins, and are now up 3 games to 1 in the series. They’ll have a chance to put the series to bed Friday night on the road.
