Jury selected as Dean Penney first-degree murder trial begins in Corner Brook
A long-awaited murder trial is finally set to begin today. Dean Penney is charged with first-degree murder for the death of his estranged wife, Jennifer Hillier-Penney. She disappeared from their home near St. Anthony in 2016, and her body has never been found. After a long investigation, Penney was arrested in 2023.
His jury trial is scheduled to begin today in Corner Brook. NTV’s Becky Daley is covering the story and will have more tonight on the NTV Evening Newshour.
