Man arrested for assaulting wife and son
RNC officers were called to a residence in the east end of St. John’s Friday (March. 27) afternoon to a report of an assault that had just occurred. Police arrived on scene and spoke to a woman who advised that her husband had assault both her, and her son. There were witnesses to the assault.
Officers located the 49-year-old man at a nearby business. He was arrested and charged with two counts of assault, and over coming resistance by choking. The man was held to appear in court today.
