Bottcher and Walker teaming up for a new Alberta-based rink
After announcing their departure from Newfoundland and Labrador curling late last week, Brendan Bottcher and Geoff Walker of Team Gushue have announced they will be teaming up for a new Alberta-based rink.
‘Team Bottcher’ will include Bottcher as skip, Walker as lead and Jacob and Tanner Horgan.
The Horgan brothers previously represented Northern Ontario on Team Epping. Walker spent 15 years with Team Gushue, winning six Brier titles, while Bottcher joined the team in 2024.
In a social media post on Thursday, walker made it clear he won’t be part of a NL-based team in the future. Friday afternoon, Bottcher also took to social media to share that his time with the team had come to an end.
