St. Patrick’s Day Holiday
Provincial and Municipal offices and some facilities are closed today, to observe the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. In St. John’s, curbside waste collection will go ahead as scheduled today, and all city parking by-laws are still in effect, as today is not a Shops Closing holiday. In the city of Mount Pearl, recreation centres such as the Summit Centre, Reid Community Centre, Gloria Pearson Community Centre, and the Glacier will remain open. In Corner Brook, there is no curbside recycling or garbage collection today.
St. Patrick’s Day is a municipal and provincial holiday in Newfoundland and Labrador, observed on Monday, March 16th rather than the actual date of Tuesday, March 17th. Contact your local municipality for potential closures.
