RCMP ticket uninsured drivers in St. Pauls, North River
Officers with RCMP Traffic Services stopped two uninsured vehicles on highways in North River and St. Paul’s yesterday afternoon. Two drivers — a 61-year-old St. Paul’s man and a 43-year-old Clarke’s Beach man — were ticketed and their vehicles were impounded.
On March 9, at approximately 12:10 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle with an expired registration on Route 70 in North River. The driver, a 43-year-old man, was also operating without valid insurance and was issued a summary offence ticket under the Highway Traffic Act.
Around 2:50 p.m., and officer with the Traffic Services West unit conducted a traffic stop on Route 430 in St. Paul’s, and learned that the driver, a 61-year-old man, was also operating without valid insurance. A summary offence ticket was issued under the Highway Traffic Act for driving an uninsured vehicle.
