FFAW and ASP reach shrimp price agreement

Business, News

As the 2026 fishing season approaches, the FFAW and the Association of Seafood Producers have reached an agreement on the price of shrimp.

The average price of shrimp will be $1.80 per pound, up from $1.65 per pound last season. That price is for landed to the plant, and landed in St. Anthony or Port au Choix, and $1.72 trucked from everywhere on the island.

Meanwhile, the FFAW says the Standing Fish Price Setting Panel has selected the FFAW offer for halibut pricing for 2026, a rollover from 2025.
