Justice, News

Police arrested a 41-year-old man on Wednesday after a search of a Happy Valley-Goose Bay home resulted in the seizure of cocaine, pills and items consistent with drug trafficking activity.

On March 4, shortly after 1:45 p.m., Labrador District GIS executed a search warrant authorized under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on Brett Street. Officers from the Happy Valley-Goose Bay RCMP detachment and Police Dog Services assisted with the search.

Police located and seized a quantity of cocaine, as well as pills (including suspected opioids) and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking activity.

As a result, Craig Best, 41, of Happy Valley-Goose Bay was arrested and charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking. He appeared in court on March 5, and was released with conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 2026.

The investigation is continuing, with additional charges anticipated.
