Three people arrested and drugs seized by RNC during traffic stop
Three people are facing a number of charges, with additional charges pending, following a traffic stop on Friday, February 27, in St. John’s.
While on patrols in the area of Prince of Wales Street, RNC officers located a vehicle that had been reported stolen the previous day, and conducted a traffic stop.
Following a search of the vehicle and the people inside, a number of items were seized. Approximately 1125 grams of suspected cocaine, 73 grams of suspected crack cocaine, suspect Methylphenidate, digital scales, cash, and a knife.
As a result of the investigation, 18-year-old Kameron Harris, 35-year-old Taylor Mason, and 42-year-old Jennifer McDonald have been arrested. Harris has been charged with possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, resisting arrest, unauthorized possession of a weapon, and breaches. Mason has been charged with possessing property obtained by crimes and breaches. And McDonald has been charged with possessing property obtained by crime and obstruction.
The Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit is investigating, and drug charges are pending against the two males.
