Woman arrested following disturbance in Bay Bulls
A woman was arrested for assault after Ferryland RCMP responded to a disturbance at a Bay Bulls home on Tuesday, March 3.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., police received a call about a disturbance in progress. When officers arrived on scene, the victim explained that a woman, who was known to the occupants of the home, had struck them several times causing minor injuries.
53-year-old Wanda Caines was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. She was held in custody overnight, with a court appearance scheduled for today.
The investigation is ongoing.
