Plane en route to Germany diverted to YYT following medical emergency
Lufthansa flight 409 which was en route to Frankfurt, Germany from Raleigh-Durham International Airport had to divert to St. John’s International airport around 10:20 p.m. Saturday evening.
The diversion was due to a medical emergency, however no other details have been released at this time.
RNC officers were called to the scene, and as per standard procedure, St. John’s International Airport Authority’s Fire Hall and external emergency resources responded.
