K-12 schools in St. John’s Metro region closed again Wednesday
The Department of Education is advising the public that K-12 schools in the St. John’s Metro region will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 25.
This decision was made in consultation with busing contractors throughout the area. Main roads throughout communities are safely cleared however, many side streets remain narrow and pose safety challenges for large buses to perform routine pick-up and drop-offs.
For clarity, the St. John’s Metro region includes the following communities:
- Mount Pearl
- Paradise
- Conception Bay South
- Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s
- Torbay
- Pouch Cove
- Flatrock
- Bauline
- Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove
- Bell Island
The Department of Education is advising residents to be careful on roadways tomorrow as kids will be off from school, and likely outdoors playing.
