Clarenville RCMP investigating snowmobile theft, seeking public assistance
Clarenville RCMP is investigating the theft of a snowmobile from a local retailer and ask anyone with information to come forward.
On Feb. 3, police responded to a report of a stolen snowmobile, taken from Coastal Outdoors and Recreation on Memorial Avenue. Video surveillance captured two suspects walking in front of the building around 2:00 a.m on Sunday, Feb. 1 before entering in the back lot and uncrating a new snowmobile. One suspect left on the machine and the other fled the scene on foot.
The snowmobile is a black and grey Polaris Switchback 850, 146” length. The approximate value is $20,000.
